Panel 1: (Cedric is curiously taking a TTY machine out of a box and turning his head to look at Desmond, who is sitting next to another box. He is looking back at Cedric and signing type and pointing at himself)
Cedric: “WOW, THIS IS HOW YOU USED TO ‘TALK’ ON THE PHONE… THIS TYPING THINGY?”
Desmond: “YES, THAT’S A TTY. WE USED TO TYPE ON IT, USING A KEYBOARD AND A SCREEN.”

Cedric: “SO DEAF PEOPLE WERE ‘TEXTING’ BEFORE TEXTING WAS COOL?”

Panel 3: (Cedric is smiling and holding a piece of paper, signing yes. Desmond is confidently smiling with his eyes closed, signing me and cool)
Desmond: “I GUESS YOU COULD SAY YOUR DAD WAS A ‘TRENDSETTER’!”
Cedric: “TECHNOLOGY: YES!”

Panel 4: (Cedric is holding up the paper, which is showing an old picture of Desmond in a tacky outfit. Cedric looks concerned and is signing no)
Cedric: “FASHION: NO.”
