Panel 1: (Helen is looking at Cedric from behind a door in his bedroom. Cedric is under sheets in bed with a teddy bear, holding a book. He is smiling and signing yes)
Helen: “YOU GUYS ARE ALREADY DONE WITH ‘T’WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS’?”
Cedric: “YEP! DAD DID THE DEAF VERSION.”

Panel 2: (Helen is standing by Cedric’s bed, with a curious expression, one hand on her hip, signing deaf with her other hand. Cedric is looking up at Helen, holding a book, smiling)
Helen: “THE DEAF VERSION?”
Cedric: “YEAH… IT’S MUCH SHORTER.”

Desmond: “…WHEN OUT ON THE LAWN THERE AROSE SUCH A CLATTER… BUT I DIDN’T SPRING TO MY FEET TO SEE WHAT WAS THE MATTER… AFTER ALL I’M DEAF AND DIDN’T HEAR SANTA DESCEND. HE FILLED OUR STOCKINGS AS I SNORED. MERRY CHRISTMAS. THE END.”
