"That Deaf Guy" is Desmond, a family man, who on a daily basis, creatively deals with the advantages and disadvantages of being deaf.
Helen is Desmond's wife. She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and works as an interpreter for the deaf. She has studied these subjects extensively and is a tireless advocate.
Cedric is their 4 year old bi-lingual (English and ASL) child who uses his dad's deafness and his mom's overworked schedule to his fullest advantage.
